  Yeah, and it gets set wrong.  Wonderful autoconf/libtool.

  Why is the 'top_srcdir' set to '.'?  Are the autoconf/libtool people
stupid enough to think that no one ever uses sub-directories?  Or are
they too stupid to document what the heck the programs do, as opposed
to what they're *supposed* to do?

  'make reconfig', and the Makefile distributed with the server will
do the Right Thing.


  Arg... it's damn near impossible to get autoconf to do the right
thing.  It keeps trying to be "helpful", and throws away what it's
told, to instead invent crap.

  I'll try to take a look at it.
