I'm running a COR-1100 with 2 ROR-1000's .... Putting one of the radio's
in the ROR to AP mode and one to ROR mode as a point-to-point slave.
The interface that's in AP mode has radius authentication set on it. I
don't see any settings for EAP. I haven't run freeradius in debug mode
to see what's really happening. All I did was use the MAC address
(formatted like: 00022d-ac2d5e) and the radius secret as the password.

I know my configuration is a little different ... I hope it helps.

Charlie

Subject: radius and orinoco RG-1100

I have flashed our orinoco RG-1100 to be an ap500 which supports radius.
I'm running into the following problem where freeradius says there's no
User-Password attribute. This stuff is pretty fresh to me so you can
imagine I'm at a a loss. Currently I'm using a client from
meetinghouse. I believe it's acalled aegis. the line in my users file
looks like this

hayden  Auth-Type := EAP User-Password == "hayden"

In my radiusd.conf I've made sure EAP is configured and is supposed to
use MD5 for now. The messages I'm seeing from the radius 0.5 server are
below.

modcall: group authorize returns ok
  rad_check_password: Found Auth-Type EAP
auth: type "EAP"
auth: Failed to validate the user.
Login incorrect: [hayden/<no User-Password attribute>] (from client
orinoco_ap port 0 cli 00601d1fb406) Delaying request 0 for 1 seconds
Finished request 0 Going to the next request
