Some of you might have read this on the cistron-radius mailinglist
already. I have now also put the filter on freeradius-users and
freeradius-devel, it has been running flawlessly (I hope) for a
week now and no-one complained so I figured I might as well
inform you about it ;) Anyway:
I wrote a perl script that takes an RFC2822 message on STDIN, then:
o checks if it has any attachments windows might
see as executable, reject the message if any found
o checks to see if the user in the Return-Path:
header is a member of the mailinglist
o calls spamassassin (through spamc) if this message
was not originated by a member, rejects the
message if it is spam
o finally pipes the message to another program
This script fronts the mailman program, so hopefully it should
eliminate the viruses on these lists and cut back on the spam.
Mike.
