Almost no one uses it; there are probably 6 people on the planet who can actually program the cards which the module supports. I do not want to maintain code for that small of a userbase. The folks with older cards which are hand-programmable already have systems they use. I would *like it* if it becomes more popular on older platforms, and I am slowly doing things to make it more generally useful, but for now it's not worth it. Why is it even in freeradius then? a) hopefully it will become more popular b) chicken-egg Another part of it is that I use the same code for a PAM module (to be released RSN) and I don't really have lots of cycles to keep the code in sync, etc. In general, you are correct, if it looks easy now it should just be done, but for this specific module it's a slight headache for me even if other people keep it maintained.
