Hi I would guess this is a IP layer issue. Check that you have the appropriate server = "1.2.3.4" directive in your radiusd.conf file. Also check that there's an LDAP listening on port 389 of that IP. (and that it's reachable). Try and see if you can use the ldapsearch tool to make a query for initial debugging.
