We put our freeradius test server to the test and put it on 4 live NASs.
Authentication from user/pass info stored in MySQL worked wonerfully and
accounting data to unix and sql worked well.

The only problem was that one, and only one of the NASs was causing the
following to be reported in the radius log:

Wed Sep 18 15:38:03 2002 : Error: Received Accounting-Request packet from
216.xxx.xxx.xxx with invalid signature!
Wed Sep 18 15:38:03 2002 : Error: Received Accounting-Request packet from
216.xxx.xxx.xxx with invalid signature!
Wed Sep 18 15:38:03 2002 : Error: Received Accounting-Request packet from
216.xxx.xxx.xxx with invalid signature!
Wed Sep 18 15:38:04 2002 : Error: Received Accounting-Request packet from
216.xxx.xxx.xxx with invalid signature!
Wed Sep 18 15:38:04 2002 : Error: Received Accounting-Request packet from
216.xxx.xxx.xxx with invalid signature!

I did a search of the freeradius list archives and came back with a note about
invalid secret, however, the configuration of each of the NASs and the NAS
entries in clients.conf is exactly the same for each NAS. Also,
authentication from that particular NAS was working fine, it was just a
problem with accounting.

In this case, the NASs are 3Com HiPer ARC v. 5.2.9. Does anybody have any
idea what could be the accounting problem?

Thanks,
