Hi all,
I am a newbie and am running Freeradius 0.7.1 under Redhat Linus 7.2
(kernel 0.2.4.7-10). All well and good. It works a treat!
BUT I must use CHAP authorization so that passwords are sent encrypted
on the 'wire' (wireless is my case) so I have to store the passwords as
"text password". RTM it seems that CHAP passwords can't be set to
auth-type system :((
I would like to allow a 'non-techie' (is that PC?) to change the
passwords (locating the users file in raddb and then performing a text
edit may just be beyond them). I would like an extra option from the
desktop 'user manager' menu which looks just like the one for Unix User
Admin but allows updates to the free radius users file instead of the
/etc/passwd file.
Has anyone got any tool available that does it at present? If not what
would be the best way of creating one?
