2 radius servers

This might be an Ascend question more then a FreeRadius one, but I'll give it a spin.

I've setting up a new radius server to authenticate our dialup users. This new radius server has a identical setup as the old. user and detail files are synced up using rsync right now, I'm having trouble w/ radrelay on the old server running .7.0.

Anyhow, today I started up the new radius server, setup our Ascend box to query the new server first and the old server as a backup. Users got authenticated w/ the new radius server and everything seemed fine. Score!

However now the Ascend box will switch(at either the top or bottom of the hour) between authenticating between the new and old radius servers.. Nothing in /var/log/messasges indicates any change, restart, or problems w/ either server.

Would anyone have a clue as to why the Ascend box is doing a "round robin" aproach on which radius server its going to?
