Hello All,

I didn't have much luck with a search on the web, but if I'm duplicating a
question/problem, I'm incredibly sorry.

I'm trying to compile freeradius-0.7.1 with kerberos support in it and
having little/no success. The machine I'm trying this on is a Red Hat 8.0
machine, with the stock Red Hat kerberos packages installed (these are
krb5-libs, krbafs, krbafs-utils, krb5-devel, krb5-workstation,
krb5-server, pam_krb5, krbafs-devel and gnome-kerberos thrown in for good
measure). I've got my /etc/krb* files in place and modified for my
environment. As mentioned, I'm trying this with the latest version of
freeradius (0.7.1). I've ungzipped/untarred the package and done

./configure --with-rlm-krb5-include-dir=/usr/kerberos/include
--with-rlm-krb5-lib-dir=/usr/kerberos/lib.

As it's configuring, I get this in the output:

checking for krb5.h... yes
checking for krb5_encrypt_data in -lk5crypto... no
checking for DH_new in -lcrypto... (cached) yes
checking for set_com_err_hook in -lcom_err... no
configure: warning: the comm_err library isn't found!
checking for krb5_init_context in -lkrb5... no
configure: warning: silently not building rlm_krb5.
configure: warning: FAILURE: rlm_krb5 requires: krb5

I do have /usr/kerberos/lib/libk5crypto.so, /usr/kerberos/lib/libkrb5.so,
and /usr/kerberos/lib/libcom_err.so. Not knowing if these were what it
wanted or if it was looking for k5crypto.so, com_err.so, and krb5.so, I
created those as symlinks to their respective counterparts. Still no
luck. If anyone can make sense of it, I'll be happy to post my
src/modules/rlm_krb5/config.log.

If anyone can give me a point or a swift kick in the right direction, I'd
be incredibly grateful. Thank you for your time!
