I was unable to locate the appropriate archives you mentioned. Might you be able to provide me with a specific url? I also don't know what a "CVS head" is.Yes. The list archives should have a message from Philip Kearney, I think.The latest CVS head contains a number of the fixes he suggested. The only one I can recall is that you can't build shared libraries, so: ./configure --disable-share make # fix any compiler errors? make install should work.
I tried your suggestion and did a "./configure --disable-share" before doing a make, but the make still failed, unfortunately.
I'm not sure that it matters. LEAP utilizes a RADIUS server to authenticate users. I've got it working perfectly using "Radicate" as a RADIUS server (Java based), but radicate will expire in December as it's only a "preview".Uh... FreeRADIUS doesn't do LEAP. That's a Cisco special protocol.
I should mention, however, that I was incorrect in referring to LEAP as a method of encryption... it is not.
