I used to have freeradius running on Solaris 8. I found that Solaris
wanted all sorts of special things in order to make it work. I ended up
installing Suse Linux 7.3 for Sparc and the system never fails.

Just thought I would give you another option.

            Dear members,
I have compiled and installed freeradius-0.6 on solaris 8.
But when I try to start radius it is saying that

            radiusd: Cannot find ELF
            Killed

Can you supply the output of 'uname -a'. Also are you running in
64bit or 32bit mode kernel. Lastly, what compiler are you using?

output of 'uname -a ' is ,
SunOS zoom 5.8 Generic_108528-15 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine

I am using 64bit mode kernel,

and compiler ' gcc-3.1-sol8-sparc-local '

make is ' make-3.79.1-sol8-sparc-local '

thanks
