if WinXP is your supplicant, there is no such thing as "User-Name" in
the dump of the sent packet. there is only an "EAP-Identity".

The EAP-Identity for MD5 is typed in by you and is independent of the
Windows XP login name. Windows XP pops up a little (usually yellow)
bubble in the system tray demanding to type in your credentials. when
you click on this bubble you are presented a Username/Password dialogue.
What you fill in is sent over the wire/wireless by EAPOL.
