I started on this a few months back and got sidetracked with other stuff,
so i want to do it again. I don't know much about radius and the current
one was set up long before i started.
I am running Solaris 8 (sparc), and have an Ascent Max4048. We are still
running the radius server that came with it on an old machine that we want
to get rid of. Since the license on the old radius server doesn't work &
ascend it no longer a company i need to replace it. We are using the USER
file for authentication, and have phone #'s in it for the CallerID
verification.
How hard is it going to be to replace this with FreeRadius? Once installed
can i just drop my user file in and start it up? or am i going to need to
re-format the file to meet the FR style? Also, what type of options do i
need when i do a ./configure? will just changing the PREFIX be enough?
Thanks in advance
Brian
