I personally like Alan's frank and blunt responses. If I'm the one looking for an answer and he or someone else has already answered it and made the information available but I haven't found it yet, that's not Alan's fault. It's mine.
Of course, if the answer was documented but not bundled with the source or on the web then shame on Alan.
