Hello all, I am currently using freeradius for my dialup, I pretty sure it 0.8.1,
My broadband clients have a dialup account as well as broadband for those away from trips. However, their broadband units can be disabled also via radius. I was trying to use the dialup account to authenticate their broadband units. However, the usergroup table (this is a MySql db backend), list that user in the PPP-DYNAMIC group, which inturns gives all the reply stuff for a PPP connection. This prevents the broadband units from authenticating. However, if I remove the given account name from the usergroup table then it will authenticate. The question: Can a given username have more than one group, or will radius always take the first entry found (or the last)? How can I make radius authenticate the username/password when the only other thing passsed is the NAS-Port-ID during the broadband unit authentication? Can I use this NAS-Port-ID (which is unique to the broadband unit) as an attribute on the username that will allow the broadband unit to authenticate and not fail the dialup.? - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe?
