Its called rpm and the base of so-called rpm-based systems (RedHat,
Mandrake, SuSe).

So if you have an rpm based system you should know it, and if not you
might want to check out http://rpm.org/ to see what makes your system
(not) work.

If you have no rpm based system, than just ignore it.
