I am running into the same problem. Radtest works fine, ntradping sends garbage, same goes for using radtest on a different host.
The secrets are the same, the very same config works with fbsd/i386, but not with fbsd/sparc64. I tried putting a user in the users file. No luck.
I also tried making it auth to a mysql database. No luck.
I sent an email to the freebsd-sparc list, and I was told to watch for errors while compiling FreeRadius. I saw nothing out of the ordinary, as far as I could tell. There was also a question if freeradius has big-endian support on FreeBSD.
I hope I have included enough information. If anyone has any pointers, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help that is given.
