Heya folks, I'm new to the list. We're in the process of attempting to move from Merit AAA Radius to FreeRadius, and I have a quick questions about authentication. Is there a way for me to use another password file besides the standard /etc/passwd one? I won't go into detail, but I'll tell you that the primary constraint I have right now is time, so I'd like to use my current /etc/passwd file for my Merit AAA server, but I don't want to actually use the production one...just a copy of it. A SQL DB won't work for me right now, and putting all the users in the user file won't cut the mustard either, mainly because I don't know their passwords to re-enter them in these new formats.
However, if I can use a copy of the existing PW file (I can't use the original either, because that will be changing) I should be OK. Anyone have any advice on how to do something like this?
