Hi Rio I'm not sure how you can do it without the authentication server, since the authentication server is the part that contacts freeradius for the authentication. You can however install both the gateway and auth server part on the same box, saving you expenses.
I'm currently using nocat with freeradius for wireless access control I also higly recommend the nocat mailing list. I have yet to see another open source project similar to nocat. If you find some please tell me. I tried with NoCat Gateway without NoCat Authentication Server. Do you use the same methods for your FreeRadius ? And my other question, is there any other tool that similar to NoCat ? Thanks ..
