Hi,

Postfix supports LDAP. Please check the file sample-ldap.cf for an
example on how to configure it. This should guide you on how to bind
your FR/LDAP with postfix.

Be aware that the postfix rpm in RedHat is not compiled with ldap
support. However you can very easily enable that by modifying their spec
file:
rpm -ivh postfix-x.y.z.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
vi postfix.spec

change ldap=0 by ldap=1 and save your change.
you need openldap-devel package to compile.

Now from the SPECS directory type the following:
rpmbuild -ba --target i686 postfix.spec

install the resulting rpm.

FYI I had a couple of postfix servers with an uptime > 600 days in a
live ISP/ASP network.

That's my 2 cents for the postfix part. Sorry if it's a bit out of
subject for the list.
