woohooo! I got it to respond quicker. Stupid me didn't put an entry in the hosts file and that's why there was this delay.

When I try to authenticate to LDAP on the Novell server it works fine but I don't get an instant response back. Rather, it takes about 20 seconds for an accept/reject response and if I try it again with the same user name/password, it takes about 10 seconds. I've also noticed that the LDAP bind takes awhile.
