I have a problem i hope somebody will be able to help me solve it....
I currently use freeradius+mySQL and assign wanted addres throught the Framed-IP-Address parameter, in the mySQL DB, each user belongs to a group, and each group as an ip "range", like 192.168.1.10+ but know, i would like to be able to tell radius to give a user always the same ip, for example, the first IP he got, and reserve this IP for him.
This is a scheme for better comprehension:
user 1 belongs to group A user 2 belongs to group A and has a "magic static IP parameter"
group A has 192.168.1.10+ Framed-IP-Address
at first connection:
user 1 got 192.168.1.10 user 2 got 192.168.1.11
i would like to get, on the next users connection
user 2 : 192.168.1.11 user 1 any 192.168.1.10+ ip except 192.168.1.11 reserved for user 2
I know I can set a static IP on a per-user Framed-IP-Address setting, but i would prefer let RADIUS choose the IP for me, in order to delegate the DB administration to somebody who will ignore the ip the client will have, except the fact he'll always get THE SAME IP.
Until now i didn't found how to do this. Maybe somebody will be able to help be.....
Thanks a lot!
Daren
