I have a problem with getting FreeRADIUS to include gdbm.h.

FreeRADIUS (the server core) doesn't use gdbm.h. One or more of the
modules may use it. If using 'configure' doesn't work, then edit the
Makefiles directly. They're not large.

Your missing the point. The modules need gdbm.h so I told the system
where to find it. It just happens that in the same place is a "standard"
md5.h, but FreeRADIUS needs a non-standard md5.h from the local include
directory. I am trying to find out what people think is the better
way to fix the FreeRADIUS version of md5.h.

The fact that it was a need for gdbm.h that triggered the problem is
immaterial. It could be caused by anyone needing to give an alternate
location to find string.h, or any other system header file.

My goal is to make FreeRADIUS work on more platforms without the need
for everyone else to edit the Makefiles _after_ they run configure. I
could have just kludged something to get this to compile, but I thought
I would "do the right thing" and contribute fixes.
