Looks to me like the client is not responding to the access challenge.
I was able to see the challenge make it to the client (XP client), however it does not respond.
The only thing I noticed looking at the packet with an analyzer was that there were two EAP sections in the frame. I don't however know if this is normal behavior. Also I didn't really know where the actual mschap challenge was supposed to be located.
Basically I have not read all the RFC's involved yet for 802.1x, EAP, and mschap.
But I do know the client is the one that is not responding. The last frame was "peap?" from the Access point. So if I am making it this far I am not having a key issue right?
Also I had posted earlier about this problem and received some comment about the cisco gear I was using. However, it seams that EAP is pretty basic to the AP, and I don't think there is a problem. I was suspicious of the cisco stuff the whole time until I read more about EAP.
So I don't know for sure if the frame the client is seeing is what it considers correct.
