I just searched about xvesa, it appears to have limited keyboard support.
Does it have XKB support? If it does, what is the output of xprop -root |
grep xkb ? Such issues are most likely related to a keyboard detection
failure with the wrong keymap being loaded. I recently fixed xfreerdp on Mac
OS X, which has its own special X11 server. I ended up just defaulting to a
good keymap when built for Mac OS X and now it works. Something similar
could be done for xvesa, if we can get more information about it.
