Hi Otavio,
While LGPL is more permissive than GPL, code within the library is still
affected by the virality of the license. There are two possible views on
this:
1) With a permissive (non-reciprocal) license, people might use our code
without contributing back
2) With a reciprocal license, people will be forced to contribute back, but
they might not use the code at all because of that (chilling effect)
I agree that it is a possible risk, but I think that it is probably better
to go for something completely non-viral. The chilling effect is just as bad
as the risk of having people not contributing their code. However, I'd much
prefer having more people involved in the project than a smaller number of
people involved that all contribute code.

The modern datacenter depends on network connectivity to access resources
and provide services. The best practices for maximizing a physical server's
connectivity to a physical network are well understood - see how these
rules translate into the virtual world?
