Hi, just to jump in: freerdp_global_finish() and freerdp_global_init() are both in use in xfreerdp but not in wfreerdp.
Marc-André removed (commented) both calls on Jul. 31. 2010 in https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/commit/858d5fd6a64b87b0197c2924831c1d9baea2b473 Maybe he can explain...
