I don't think you need to recompile even you remove pulseaudio, and 
freerdp and alsa will continue to work. You just cannot load the 
pulseaudio sub-plugin, but this does not affect any other component. Did 
you actually try that and saw some error?

 From technical point of view, you will get the exact same binary 
machine code of everything else, with or without pulseaudio. I see no 
point why recompile is necessary?
