Well, since they are removing all of this code from Cendio in order to
implement Microsoft's RDP specifications, I don't think anybody would
agree about the seeing and using part.

Marc seemed to be saying that they needed to remove all that code to
implement the Microsoft RDP spec so they are not basing anything on the
Cendio code.

Just from a legal perspective, courts are not interpreting things to a
minute level of strictness.

They do grant new codebases some latitude.

Linux would not even exist if this were not the case.

Cendio made an infringement claim against FreeRDP.

So you earlier stated that the Cendio commits started into the rdesktop
project codebase on 2002-07-18.

I just verified this and that is the very first Cendio commit that I can
find in the rdesktop codebase.

So if FreeRDP were to do any entire rebaseline starting prior to
2002-07-18 that makes it free of the influence of the Cendio commits to
rdesktop.

So if they were to undertake such an effort does that satisfy Cendio
that FreeRDP is not deriving from Cendio's work?

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
