Hello,
After installing all of the libraries listed on this page, I was able to
update to the latest dev version:
http://www.freerdp.com/wiki/doku.php?id=compilation

Per your suggestion, I attempted the connection using the --sec rdp switch,
but it gave an error stating “ui_error: ERROR: Connection closed”

I changed the switch to --sec nla and the connection went through perfectly.
Everything seems to be working great so far.

Thanks!

Subject: Re: [Freerdp-devel] Error: HYBRID_REQUIRED_BY_SERVER when Win 7 NLA
is enabled

Hi Ryan,

If you use the latest development version from git, you should be able to
connect using NLA

I think this particular error condition might be triggered by a server
accepting NLA or Standard RDP encryption, but not TLS. Use --sec rdp when
connecting to that server then when using 0.8.2.

I have NLA enabled on my Win 7 Ultimate computer (which is required here).

When I attempt to connect using freerdp v.0.8.2, I then get the following
error:

Error: HYBRID_REQUIRED_BY_SERVER
Connecting to x.x.x.x:3389
Ui_error: ERROR: Connection closed
Run_xfreerdp: inst->rdp_connect failed

I does connect successfully when NLA is disabled.  I’ve searched for this
particular error, but haven’t seen it reported yet. What could be causing
it?

Thanks!
