Hello FreeRDP developers,

I am happy to announce that I have finally taken on the task of migrating
the website to WordPress. I have completed the migration of the old website
to the new one, so you'll find the new website next time you hit freerdp.com:)

The template is based on FreshServe, and has been customized by Dorian who
was kind enough to offer his help. The result is a much better website that
will gladly replace the previous Joomla-based website which I wasn't very
proud of. I've put screenshots on the front page, feel free to send me all
your awesome screenshots so that I can add them too :) If someone has a nice
screenshot showing RemoteFX 3D acceleration, I'd really like to put it
there.

One topic that had to come soon enough is the release planning. We had
originally planned for a stable release by the end of October, and as
October ends it looks like we'll be missing that release date a little bit.
Even though we've had a superb increase in bug fixes and contributions in
the past weeks, there are still many parts which need stabilization,
testing, and additional work. However, we're getting at a point where most
of the features are in a functional state, which is why Otavio and I were
discussing a potential beta release the other day.

Since it would be a beta, we could make a lot of people happy by finally
having a release that will be packaged for major Linux distributions. It
would also serve as a reference point for what we still need to do in order
to reach a stable release. We can also expect people to be reasonably more
comprehensive towards bugs since it would be a beta :)

I would like to get the beta out as soon as possible, over the weekend if
possible. I do not think there is anything worth blocking a beta release at
this point, unless someone has objections. Historically Vic has been
handling the release cycle, so Vic, feel free to let us know what you think
:)

Best regards,
- Marc-Andre
