There is testing (as I understand) PPA for freerdp here: https://launchpad.net/~freerdp-team/+archive/freerdp But I think it's not a good idea to use packages from this PPA in production.
Could you please create a PPA with latest stable freerdp and remmina versions. It can be very usefull at least because in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS freerdp older and have built without smartcards support.
