Hi all, it's been a while since the last stable release. A lot of work was spent on improvements, new features and clients in the meantime.
Now we are happy to announce the first beta of FreeRDP 1.1.0. http://pub.freerdp.com/releases/freerdp-1.1.0-beta1.tar.gz https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/tree/1.1.0-beta1 The 1.1 series has the following highlights: * WinPR - Windows Portable Runtime. * RD Gateway support (RDP security only) * Multithreaded RemoteFX - uses multiple threads to accelerate encoding/decoding * New command line syntax - a new, simpler command line syntax was added * Asynchronous handling of graphical updates and input - improves responsiv eness * Improved sound performance (no more choppy sound) * Support for windows compatible .rdp files to preconfigure sessions * New and improved keyboard subsystem - removes requirement for keyboard description files * New clients - aFreeRDP on Android - iFreeRDP on iOS - Native client on OS X * New servers - wfreerdp-server on windows - mfreerdp-server on OS X Also the FreeRDP Manuals are now available as markdown and pdf https://github.com/awakecoding/FreeRDP-Manuals and get continuously improved. We plan on doing at least a second beta followed by the release candidates before the final release. But there are still a lot of things open todos. We will go over all the issue and will see what will go into the release.
