I have an employee working on something like that at Awake Coding Consulting, it's not fully ready yet but maybe it is what you're looking for. We're trying to define a simple, common client API to easily embed and "drive" the existing FreeRDP clients instead of implementing one. We've got the mac client building as a framework for easy embedding into Xcode projects, so that third-parties can leverage FreeRDP without too much effort.
As I said, it's a work in progress, but you can give it a shot here: https://github.com/mrthebunny/FreeRDP If what you're looking for is a way to develop your own client using the lower-level API then there's currently no way of building the libraries as a framework. You could, however, take inspiration from the changes Benoit (mrthebunny) made to build a framework out of the mac client.
