I’ve used the shadow OS X server—it works well. I noticed that there’s
“regular” (non-shadow?) server code for OS X as well. It seems to reference
Mountain Lion specifically in the filenames.

Eventually, I’d like to use FreeRDP to enable my Mac as as a terminal server.
This wouldn’t be a shadow configuration. Are there plans to
revive/renew/replace the old non-shadow OS X server? What’s the roadmap for
server applications on OS X?

Thanks,

Peter
