Hi Armin,

Thanks for getting back to me and I hope that you are feeling better.

I was able to compile up the OGON server on Debian Stretch in a VirtualBox
VM and was able to connect to it from an older WindowsXP system and a
Ubuntu 18.04 system, so that part seems to work well as it is using FreeDRB
2.0, I think. Since the server part is out of the way, I can now focus on
the native FreeRDP instances which will simply be used to connect some
background VM's (either Linux [Debian or Ubuntu perhaps] or some versions
of Windows like XP or 7). In each of those VM's I will just try to connect
like you mentioned:

1. Server a Windows application "notepad" from Windows VM on to Linux
desktop.
 xfreerdp /v:<your server> /app:"||notepad"

2. Is it possible to also serve (via FreeRDP) from a Linux VM application
onto a Linxu desktop in a similar way a (1) above?

I an worry about a possible FreeRDP server for Windows at a much later time
if development proceeds well and will just use Linux for now as the Desktop
that the seamless applications connect.

Also, I have not yet tested it, but I heard from someone recently that said
that FreeRDP would not connect to Windows10 properly. Not sure if this is
correct, but wanted to ask you about it.

I am at the beginning of a very exciting project which could turn out to be
something very good, but want to get the basics working before I show you,
ok. I think that it could be something for which we could collaborate and
move forward if all goes well, but let me get it working and then show you
what I have been trying to put together for such a long time.

Cheers and have a great day,
Lonnie
