i went in and did make -f makefile.dos in every directory
that had one and everyhing failed with copious amounts of errors

from no glib.h to `kDeviceInfo_Unix' and other things.
if i cant do a simple 'make -f makefile.dos' in top level
directory and have it build everything... something is seriously
lacking.

basically, what steps to i have to take to get it to compile?
what order?

i'd try and fix things, but i dont have a lot of time and it looks
far too broken to fix. i dont know if its something minor or major.
but my time is lacking.
