Hi, as some of you may be aware of, FreeSCI does not currently support sound output. We have support for stepping through MIDI files in order to find sound cues, but nothing audible yet. A few months ago, Rickard Lind started fixing this, beginning with a re-design of the sound subsystem. Unfortunately, he doesn't currently have sufficient time to finish it. I'm sure most of us would like to see sound support added to FreeSCI, so here's your chance to become famous! If you want to help completing the new FreeSCI sound subsystem, or if you're curious about the kind and amount of work it would involve, please contact Rickard or me. The new sound subsystem code is not currently in CVS, but it's available on request. Rickard has offered to do his best to help volunteers with it, and I'll try to help where I can, too, so you wouldn't be left out in the cold. Thanks in advance! llap, Christoph
