Hi, Our code base is stabilizing rather quickly on the UNIX front, so I'd like to release 0.3.1 pretty soon. There are still a few known problems, many of them listed on the updated bugs page, and we should try to fix at least some of them in the next days. I'd like to start a code freeze on Sunday 21st, how does that fit with your plans? (Petr: Do you think the DirectX driver will be sufficiently stable by then?) As usual, the freeze will last one week; while freezing, only smaller bug fixes and documentation updates should be applied to the release candidate. Of course we need to test on various platforms before that; I'm trying to do regular tests on Alpha/Linux and Sparc/Solaris; I could do tests on ia32/Linux as well, but I guess there are enough of you who are running FreeSCI on that one anyway. Sound ----- Sound guys: How are you getting along? Do you have a rough idea of what needs to be done and what has do be done? (Unless some miracle happened, sound won't go into 0.3.1, but I'd still like to know :-) IRC --- I've registered #freesci on Openprojects (try irc.openprojects.net). We used #sci on dal.net for the last few weeks, but dal.net is rather crowded and subject to regular netsplits, so I think we should try this one now. I'd still like to thank Brian for letting us use his channel during this time. TODO: ----- - Fix configure.in - clean up main.c - Fix bugs - Update documentation -- Christoph
