Hi,

I've mostly finished the new & improved bug tracking system; it should
now be possible to use the client from
http://darmstadt.gmd.de/~jameson/bugtool.py
(requires Python- 1.5.2 should work fine) to query the BTS database,
and to post anonymous bug submissions. Authenticated operations
(see 'bugtool.py -h') should work, too, but, obviously, only for
those who have a BTS account (please contact me with a login/password
combination (or a reference to one)if you want authenticated BTS
access).

There's also a browseable web interface at
http://signine.yi.org/cgi-bin/bugmgr.py

It's not quite as powerful as the query phrases supported by the
bug tool (which, in turn, are almost, but not entirely, unlike SQL),
but, well, we can't just replace bugs.html with a page telling
people that bugs are handled internally now.

Please note that both the BTS server and the web interface are currently
running on a system connected to the 'net by means of a 64k ISDN connection,
so please don't tax them too much =-)

Things to do:
- Web interface for anonymous bug submission
- Query phrases for date and time
- Sorting (at least by priority, developer, and submission date)

Opinions, anyone? We could still use GNATS or register a sourceforge
page for this kind of stuff if you don't like it at all.

llap,
 Christoph
