If the sound server itself is suspended, the select() (or equilvalent) 
time is set to 'indefinitely', but incoming commands are still processed.

'cvs diff' only lists a few tabs being removed, so your local copy should
be fine. You could, of course, still diff you version against a recent one
manually to make sure.
