Just a word of warning. Before anyone goes hack-and-slash to find bugs
in the sound code, make sure you verify that the bugs exist if you use a
real mt-32 and the midi_mt32 driver.

The mt32gm driver undoubtedly has its problems, but most of those are
there because the original music scores weren't written with the GM
patch set in mind. I'd hate to "fix" something in the sound subsystem
only to find that we fixed a problem in the wrong place.

Meanwhile, I'd love to help out.. but my Linux boxen don't have
/dev/midi. (Hmm. I wonder how much a USB midi widget would cost,
and if it's supported by Linux.. :)

On the other hand, I can probably use my Win32 box, but I guess the
timing may be off. Send me savegames where these sound oddities happen,
and I'll test 'em out with the real thing.
