Make sure you are clicking the with left button each time; clicking with 
the right button will clear the selections. The most recently selected 
vertex will be drawn in cyan, but as soon as you click another, it will 
turn white.

Do you mean the original vertex you clicked, or each successivly clicked 
vertex?

(I assume you mean tkmedit, not tksurfer.) Yes, this is a problem with the
version in one of the snapshots. If this is a feature you require, I can
make available a new version of tkmedit for you to FTP. Let me know.
