if you use bypass_media mode like you suggested the sdp is completely
unaltered between the 2 endpoints so it's an ideal way to bridge media we
don't support as well as a much more scalable approach when applicable.

Also we have proxy-media mode where the same thing is true but we will
transparently pass the media back and forth without the need to support it
internally.
