I don't have any idea when 1.0.1 will be released but your posting reminded me of the pre-1.0 Asterisk days. At the time continuously updating to SVN head was the only way to get something with slightly less bugs and that would hopefully stay up for more than a few hours. With FreeSWITCH imho it's the opposite. With SVN head you get more stability and more features all the time (like mod_pocketshpinx recently). So I see the added value of running SVN head. Just my .02.
