The Disk IO on sqlite can be quite a bit... One work around for this is to create a ram drive of sufficient size and mount it to /usr/local/freeswitch/db (or whatever your db dir is for freeswitch) this helps out greatly... But anything in the db will not be saved across system reboots unless you do something about that yourself
