Overall I think you're going to just have to install Linux on a box and get after it. It may be more painful in the short term ... but in the long term your life will be much better. The devs / community here are pretty incredible with their desire and efforts to help everyone (and all platforms) ... but in all reality it's a huge task. If you stick with Linux / FS everything will just work and there is a tremendous amount of resources on the web. SDR
