Another potential task for coders might be to chaff the codec. Production code must not crash from bad input.

1. Create a random input generator, and add the random input test to the makefile so that it can be re-run as the codec development continues.
2. Add tests for obvious bad input such as violation of LSP/n/ > LSP/n/+1.
3. Figure out how to deal with saturation, divide-by-zero, NaN, out-of-range.
