Hi all, I've got some code that makes a start on some of this. What I was trying to do was implement an FDMDV compatible piece of software in FLDIGI (with the aim of eventually swapping the LPC codec in FDMDV to Codec2.) It doesn't work, but a lot of the groundwork is in place. Feel free to investigate https://github.com/DanAnkers/fldigi W1HKJ (the main author of FLDigi) didn't seem particularly keen on the idea of adding digital voice int the software - but I feel this may change especially if it integrates well. There is a big problem in trying to work with the FDMDV team. As I understand it, the main author (Cesco HB9TLK) has stopped responding to communication about it and the designer of the original modem (Peter G3PLX) would prefer not to see an open source version since he is worried about it being used for something like WinLink. (This is my interpretation of things based on what I've read - I don't know any of these people personally and may have misinterpreted things totally.) Anyway - if anyone wants to build on the digital voice stuff I've been adding to FLDigi then please do!
