This is really spectacular work, David!

I think you're definitely on the right track - focusing on a robust and 
easy-to-use codec2 standalone program will thrust the attention towards usage. 


Once it's on-air, it will get the attention of any number of other ham software 
package developers.

I could easily see something like this being encorporated in Ham Radio Deluxe 
or similar.
